Your current Tempered Glass Screen Protector for the XZ Premium

Hi guys, 

I have purchased my beloved XZ Premium back in October and I've struggled to find a decent screen protector since then.

I've tried the clear, full adhesive one by Nillkin and it seemed OK at first until I realised that it doesn't even cover the entire screen. Not only that, but it also was slightly lifted around the edges (halo effect). 

I stuck with it for a few weeks mostly because all the other alternatives were simply not full adhesive and I wasn't very keen on them.

After a while, I noticed that the Nillkin tempered glass was actually adding a yellowish tint to my screen. It was noticeable because the white colours that wasn't covered by the protector didn't match the colours that were under the screen protector.

This along with the fact that the protector didn't cover the entire screen was enough reason to motivate me to look elsewhere for a better screen protector. All it would take is one unlucky drop at an awkward angle and the unprotected edges of my beautiful  display could take a serious hit.

My second screen protector was the type that covers the entire screen so I was happy with the level of protection it offered. However I quickly realised that it wasn't full adhesive and I was afraid that it may take away from the sharpness of my quality display.

My fears were confirmed when I went to watch a UHD video on youtube. The screen protector just sucked the 4k out of my screen. It also had newton rings (or rainbow effect) every time I tilted the screen along with touch sensitivity issues.

I was upset but there wasn't much I could do but live with it. The screen of the XZ Premium is shatter proof however it isn't great when it comes to resisting scratches. 

I'd rather downgrade the screen quality than to put the phone at risk of getting horrendous scratches on it. That's what I thought until I eventually came across a company in Singapore who was offering what seemed to be the "perfect tempered glass screen protector" for my XZ Premium.

Out of desperation I decided to order it and I was over the moon with the product I've received! A few guys from the XDA forum asked me to write a review after applying it so I recorded a short video instead. 

Please tell me about your experiences with your current Tempered Glass Protectors and tell me what you think of the product I reviewed.

I just got the cheapest screen protector I could find online. they're all pretty much identical anyway. no rainbow effects, no tint. it's almost as it isn't there ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You're definitely one of the lucky ones man. I went through pages and pages on both amazon and ebay just to find out that all these screens are either 2.5D or 3D (ie not full adhesive) and when I do find the full adhesive it ends up not covering the entire screen.

Please send a link to the one you have and some pictures of your phone if it's not too much effort ^_^

I got one from a Polish website, so I'm not sure how much of help will that be for you. I just got a regular flat one without any fancy curved edges. sure, it doesn't cover the entire front panel, but the display part is completely covered by it. there used to be some halo effect because of the air bubbles along the edge of the protector, but I fixed it with some oil, like the guy on this video did: https://youtu.be/KgXOWVS---w

Hahahaha man I did the same thing with the oil but I tried to used the least amount possible. This is mostly because the oil can actually seep through into the phone and weaken the glue that holds the phone together.

I used a very thin layer of tissue to apply the oil but sadly that was a temporary fix as it still lifted up a few days later. 

You see the good thing about full adhesive tempered glass is that it helps to maintain the sharpness of the beautiful 4k display. The ones that are not are just horrible in every sense of the word. 

I just didn't want to keep the edges of my screen exposed to scratches or accidental damage hence why I went on a hunt for the best full adhesive glass.
