Xperia Z1 battery comes down to 70-75% very rapidly and gets shutdown.

Xperia Z1 - Even if the battery is charged to 100 % it comes down to 70-75% very rapidly while using camera and video and at 70-75% battery remaining it suddenly drops to 3-4% and gets shutdown. And normally to even if it is in standby mode even after charging to 100% the charge gets reduced very fast. Please help. I have battery doctor installed and it is showing that health of battery is good although the charge doesn't remain at all.

Hi PBhowmik,

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

If the battery is dropping down from 75% to 4% instantly, than this is likely related to software. I suggest performing a software repair on the device to resolve this issue.

Backup instructions

Here are the Software repair instructions

1. Before you start you have to download the PC Companion software from PC Companion
and install it on your PC.
2. Once installed on your PC, double-click the PC Companion icon on your desktop to start the update.
Note! For some models you will be prompted to do a backup prior to the update and then restore.
3. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
4. Phone Software Update.
5. Start.
6. Repair Phone
7. Continue
8. Accept data removal
9. Next
10. Wait for prepare
11. Select Phone
12. Follow the connection steps

I would suggest you to remove any kind of battery savers, task killers etc. See how it is without. It should improve.

I too have the same problem. I already have 2 factory reset with PC Companion. The problem persists. Just use some app or discharge from the internet immediately warms processor and battery. Should I change the battery?
I reported the problem to Sony Italy opening a ticket but I have never responded!
Sorry for my english

I solved it by changing the battery. The phone seems reborn. I hope that the problem does not recur.
