Xperia Z5C Mobile Data Issue Vodafone

Hi,

Whenever I use mobile data - I can't use it. Chrome times out on google.com. No other app works with mobile data.

Wifi is fine though - it works and I can call/receive and send/receive texts.

I've done the following:

  • Reinstalled Software
  • Texted 'WEB' to 40127 and reinstalled MMS and Web Config
  • Used the 'Internet settings' function to download internet/mms config after restoring APN to default.

Any suggestions on next steps? Slightly_frowning_Face (I will go to Vodafone some time this week to see if it's anything on their end)

Hi @Infirmir,

You could also try changing your phone network mode to 3G/GSM by going to Settings > More > Mobile networks > Preferred network type and see if that makes a difference in this case.

If not, then it would a good idea to get in touch with your operator.

@Infirmir

What if you enter the APN settings manually?

settings > more > mobile networks > APN

you can google them, google: APN settings Vodafone __country___

@Infirmir

that's not a very good connection, contact them and ask them if there's a network coverage issue in your area.
