3D Glasses Filter

Hi there,

Not sure if there are any Sony mods/reps seeing this but I was wondering if you can tell me how I go about getting hold of some 3D Glasses filters as I'm having an issue with flicker. I've got the TDG-BR250 glasses along with a KDL 46EX723.

Is there any chance of getting hold of some fitlers here? If so is it possible for 2 sets and how much do they cost?

Thanks - J

I was in contact with Sony support and they send me a filter for my TDG BR250. Problem is that they are not a same size, they are mutch smaller than br250. And more probelm is that they dos not work, I have same probelm with as without filter, crosstalk is there and more. I have a 60NX723 since march 2012 and I dont like it in 3D. When i look at my friends tv (another brand) it is far better.

OK I like tv i 2 D and it is more important than 3D....but still.....

nedimb,

this is more likely to be a settings issue if you believe your 3D capabilities are under par as the review below suggests very little crosstalk and is a very capable set, the filters issue is a simple one, Sony simply sent the wrong ones as you have the kiddie ones instead of the adult ones, just ask for filters for the same model glasses but for adult.

How long do these filters take to arrive ? I contacted Sony CS on the number given, gave all my details to the rep who seemed to know what I was on about, serial number of the tv,software of tv, type of glasses (tdg br250), amount reqd (2) ,name and address etc, this took 15mins or more and then completed a survey, I still have recieved nothing, this was over a fortnight ago, I was just wondering if this normal.

Dave.

Wow, that was impressively bad, no one knows what you are talking about and where to send you. CS fail!  I've already ordered a pair of filters for my 100 series 3D glasses which was a total nightmare. Now I'm trying again to get the filters for the 750. Despite quoting the model number and the support number, still no idea. Has anyone had any luck getting the filters for the the 750 range of glasses?

Hi,

cant imagine even if there were any, why you would want filters for the BR750's, these are far better than the BR250 counterparts previously, i've have viewed a couple of 3D films with these so far without issue though i admit i should have watched more before packing everything before moving (must get the rest of the unpacking done and watch some more!).

as for CS, well i know a few changes have been made there but cannot account for why it should be that difficult to obtain these even if there were any, admittedly i have not heard otherwise, i know one or two CS staff that specialise in this department cannot always be on hand for this due to pressing work engagements but there are a couple of expert forum members that can assist.

I play GT5 in 3D a lot, I've spent the last two years racing with the BR100 with polarising filters which do a very good job of taking the edge off some of the less extreme crosstalk. Also beause I use a stearing wheel, my body and head move around quite a bit during play, which means that the BR750 turn Yellow or Blue as I race which is unacceptable and something I cna't believe hasn't been fixed in the newer glasses. As far as I can tell there isn't any hardware difference between the BR100 and the BR750, apart from the obvious weight reduction.

For now I'll be using the the BR100 until I can get hold of some filters for the 750.

Yes it's bad enough watching a film without tilting your head. Did anyone seriously test these things? Games play keeping a perfectly horizontal position is ridiculous. Major design error.

Well 48 hours later, unsurprisingly no call back from CS. Will try again next week. Does anyone know which department is best to go to when you get the options at the start?
