Netflix not working anymore after Android update

After Android was been updated to 6.1004, the app Netflix is not loading contents anymore.

The Netflix version 4.0.2 and 4.0.4 is stopping at 25% when loading everything.

If I remove the updated and return to the origina 3.13 version, it works without problems.

I've already:

1) unplugged the tv

2) resetted the tv to the factory settings

3) deleted every temporary data from the app

4) ask to Netflix support service to help me

5) I can use Netflix app on my smartphone together with Chromecast connexted to the tv, succesfully.

Please, give me a solution or I need (everytime) to remove the update to run Netflix app.

Thanks.

In the meanwhile the Netflix Xbox One app is also have the same issue.

I'm pretty sure the issue is related to something new inside the new apps, some kind of network resources not allowed by my provider.

The Connection test made by the app isn't finding any issue.

If the app developer give us the new specifications of the new app (4.0.4 in place of the Nugat default version 3.3.2), we could understand what is the reason.

In the next days my ISP will change the line: from fiber 100 to fiber 200 and the modem is also changed.

Maybe, I'l solve the issue.

OH YEAH!

Now, with a 200mbps internet connection (in downstream) and a new modem, the last version of the app (4.0.4) is working fine.

I'm lucky because the upgrade from 100 to 200 is free... and the modem change too.

But... still remaining the question: what is changed between 3.3.2 and 4.0.4 ???

in google play store, go to the options, disable all automatic updates there.

after a sneaky update has been done, you can uninstall it.

go to the Apps setting, select the netflix app.

uninstall update is pretty straightforward.

you can reinstall later from the playstore.

My issue is that the Netflix app tells me i have 50-60 mpbs but when streaming it keeps dropping to 480p, then to 2160p then back to 480p. It just use to stay on 4k all the time ? Only just starting happening.

I have the same issue, I've tried changing from ethernet to WiFi, which doesn't help. Even with the terrible quality issue, it struggles to buffer a lot lately.

Comparing this to the Amazon app, Google movies or even YouTube 4k, they all work fine. Instant full quality, with no buffer

Clearly an issue with the app's latest update (whenever that was)

I have same issue. 4k content wont stay on.  Started with last netflix update. My tv is ZD9.
