I bought a KD-49XE9005 tv in July 2017. Initially, everything worked fine and I could, when needed, connect to BBC iPlayer and ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 internet/catch up services.
However, a week ago this no longer became possible. The apps are there but when I click on one of them after about ten seconds a message comes up saying "An error has occurred. Please try again later". When I click on the OK button I get thrown out of the app back to the home page
The fault can't be with my wi-fi because I can still stream Netflix and Amazon.
Does anyone have any idea of what is wrong and and how I can resolve it. Thanks.
Hi there
Interesting, see this thread:

Have you also tried a soft-reboot of the TV and maybe your router too?
Press and hold the power button on the remote control for more than 6 seconds and the TV will display a message that it will reboot.
Cheers
I had exactly the same problem a soft reboot by holding down the power button on the remote solved it for me.
Do you have a BT homehub?
I found that amending the SmartSetup fixed the problem. It forces it onto a BT splashpage with welcome info, only it makes iPlayer/All4 bork.
