Hi can anyone tell me if the xr55x94ju is the same spec and tv has the xr90j I'm getting confused with the modle numbers.

It's not the same, they're different "series" of TVs. Here's the link to the comparison page.

Seems that the 94 has Rich Colour Enhancer and the 90 doesn’t; otherwise the stands are a little different. Nothing else that I can find.
