Hi all,
About three weeks ago I purchased a BDP S370 Blu-ray player - it's excellent. One of the selling points was the streaming Internet services. In Ireland we don't get BBC iPlayer or Lovefilm, but I had been enjoying Youtube, Sky News and about 13 other services - they all worked perfectly.
Now in the last few days, whenever I select the services it goes through the steps of acquiring the service and then gives this message: "Service has not started in this region. You will be notified by an icon when this service starts"
Anyone else in Ireland suddenly getting this? Why are we suddenly being deprived of these services?

Hi all - we should have this fixed by this evening. Its a server side glitch as opposed to a device problem. Apologies for the inconvenience and thanks for bringing it to our attention.
Thanks
Might just be a temporary glitch or something. Could try a full reset including the network services, or simply just leave it for a bit and try again later. Can't think why you would get these messages. Do post back if you are still getting them in a day or so and we can look into it..
Thanks
device software
Okay, will try that, thanks for replying
I too am in Ireland and connected by bdp-s370 to the network for the first time yesterday.
I got a prompt to upgrade the software, which I allowed it to do.
Then I attempted to refresh internet content and I got the same error message as you did:
"Service has not started in this region. You will be notified by an icon when service starts."
Is there a problem with the latest software? Is there a patch coming?
Thanks.
I have the same problem since doing the firmware update last week. The player seems to be fine as I can access the services with a UK proxy server but not with my normal Irish ip address. So it seems to be something at the server end.
I am in Ireland and also have this problem for the last few days.
It appeared before I did the latest firmware upgrade which did not fix the problem.
Can somone clarify which services are giving these messages - all/none/some? One of my colleagues in Dublin was going to test her BIV device this evening so do let me know and we can investigate the issue further.
Thanks
All services are giving this message - Network, Video, Music, Photos.
DLNA for pictures, music and photos is totally independent of BRAVIA Internet video, so can you clarify if its all the network services - Youtube, Sky News etc etc?
