Hello all, I have bought a VAIO S5 M last december . Today I wanted to have a look to the Bios and it asks for a password that I don't have . Has anyone have an idea of what this could be and how can I have access to this password ?:smileycry:
hi
I have the same problem and I wonder how I can find out the password. Help pls
Only the person who input the password can help either of you. If Vaio's are like other laptops the password is stored on a non volatile chip.
Your only hope and I am not sure if it will help would be to reflash the Bios.
Just guessing here guys.
Have tried just pressing the return key with no password or entering something simple like Vaio or Sony or maybe the model number as the BIOS password.:smileyhappy:
William that a ehmm different Avatar
I'd love to know the engineer's password for VAIOs
I had a same problem, and it happened that somehow bios was blocked, and my password wasn't valid, so I contacted VAIO support and they answered me right away. The catch was that bios locked itself somehow and unlock code was needed. VAIO support will send it to you free of charge if you send proof of purchase [eg. scanned bill].
On the other hand, there is nothing in bios worth of looking at, it is very stripped kind of bios with no options to adjust [except boot priority, password, and nothing more I think...]
respect
LOL hope I can find my bill if it happened to me!
If you are both serious enough about this to spend money this Company claims to be able to do it?
