Fresh Install of Vista and Vaio Update 3

hi all


i have installed vista on my Ar11s and Vaio update 3 has never worked. is this a common fault or the fact that it was installed without an upgrade from winxp?

i get the following error when launching vaio update 3 from the icon in the system tray!

VAIO Update failed to initialise for one or more of the following reasons:
You are not using Internet Explorer.
ActiveX have been disabled or the VAIO Update ActiveX is not installed on your computer.
You didn't start VAIO Update using the icon in the system tray or via Start -> All Programs -> VAIO Update -> Go to VAIO Web Support.
You tried to install VAIO Update on a computer that does not support it.


does anyone know how to fix it?

same here,

new tx5xn with vista and always the same message: your model was not found on the server. tried to reinstall and never successful.
