Is my monitor buggered?

Aloha!

Can anyone tell me if my monitor has had it?

Its very bright and despite altering gamma/contrast/brightness, the colour looks slightly faded and text looks faded as well.
I've got it hooked up to 2 pc's and the display is better on the other pc but on the Vaio it really is bad.

Is there anything I can alter on the Vaio? (I've tried display settings etc but with no luck)

At the moment the sides of these posts are light purple when they're normally dark blue and black ish

Rebooting seems to have helped alot, although it seems to happen when the monitor has been on for a few hours.

If the other PC displays correctly (after extended periods) then it is more likely to be a problem with the graphics card in the Vaio or a very slight possibility that the drivers need a re-install/update, but I doubt that.

It seems to be behaving itself again today, but I've only had it on a little while.
I did take some screenshots to show you but guess what?
Now its sorted the screenshots look normal too. Weird eh?

Maybe it was the threat of Condaliza Rice's visit which made it behave?
