Hi George-M,
It does sound like an overheating problem and this can be cured by trying to remove any debris from around the fans with a can of compressed air. In difficult cases it may be necessary to take the Vaio apart to clean it out.
Before you do anything, download MOBILEMETER and let us know the CPU temperature at idle and under load.
I'd be careful, a burning smell could be dangerous, please have it seen to by a professional before you harm yourself or anything else for that matter.
I have check the temperature.
the hdd temperature is always 32C.
the cpu temperaturein the start was 45c then raise to 52C and then to 60C(when i use the cpu for multitasking)
the most of time was 51C-54C and after 2 hours became 59C and now its 50C.
please tell me what maybe is the problem and how to fix this.
Thanks again
That CPU temperature is OK for an Intel mobile processor.
