Help! I own a vaio pocket mp3 player and im very impressed with its performance, however not so with the Software, Sonicstage... All of my music on my computer is completely legal, and ive have registered my vaio and all the music.
Every thing was running fine until i had an error within my pc and had to use the restore tool.. afterwards sonicstage tried to start up and it then clicked on to the information backup restore tool.. that was ok... i followed the instructions through until i realised that it was unable to connect to the internet.. i ran through many different things to see what i could do.. then went on this very website and discovered how i could do it manually... from then on it all worked fine..
I recently started up my pc clicked on sonicstage and it kept on freezing when it got onto the UI Initialitions stage of loading... i had to use the restore tool again and then started up my pc afterwards expecting to end up using the nformation backup restore tool .. all ok until yet again it couldnt connect to the internet so i did it manually and it all worked fine.... until
When i now try to play music files in sonicstage it flashes up with the error:
There is invalid rights management information in the OpenMG content
Can any one help?? please im desperate !!
Many Thanks

SonicStage use DRM.
If you bought a Album by the Connect Music Store. Then the transmission to your VP is limited. I think you can do this 4 times, But I'm not sure.
If you make a system recovery, then you lose your rights too.
You must write a E-Mail to the Connect Music Store. Maybe you can download your albums again without paying. But I'm not sure.
All the music i have ripped on to sonicstage has come off cds..
and im using sonicstage 2.3 and running widows xp with SP2 .. if that helps..
Many thanks in advance
Jack
Then you must ripp the CDs again.
Seb is right; you have lost the DRM licences. The only way back is to re-burn from the CD¿s and then backup your licences to a partition other than the C: drive as, unfortunately, the restore facility completely overwrites the C: drive. .
Always backup your database before formatting or replacing a hard disk.
Thaks guys.. but..
Will take up any more space.. and do i have to actually take the music off them again (which takes ages)?
How can i avoid this happening in the future???

Hi, you are gonna have to re rip the lot!!! sorry,
Look at the positives though.... you can get the track info bang on, there always seems to be something to change in my collection!! hehe
The backup is done to CD or DVD, I now have 5 DVDs full to bursting, the backup locks down the CD/DVD for good!!!! pesumably to protect the DRM so dont use RW discs, as I found out after using some lovely expensive Sony blank RW DVD's!!!

Thanks chris,
Does any one know of a way of getting the album cover art automatically done so you dont have to sit there for hours finding the album art off google, saving it and then attaching to the album through sonicstage...
Am i being stupid and missing like the button that says 'attach album art' or somethig.. lol
