VAIO Update

After uninstalling Mcafee I am unable to install new version of VAIO Update. Mcafee also remotely removed any left over files but still get a window informing me that there is a problem and it could be due to Mcafee-which has been removed. I now use Microsoft Security. Any help greatly appreciated.
