Viao VGN-SR19XN W7 mode keys

I have installed W7 pro on my viao after wiping the hard disk.  Can anyone suggest where I can find software to help me run the mode buttons and use Fn5 and 6 to lighten/darken the display?

I am just a user, not any sort of IT expert.  I just want to be able to use the functions that I have got used to!

Hi basunwin and welcome.

Sony do not fully support Windows 7 on your model but reinstalling the Vista utilities should work.

Go to the Support website for your model here: -

http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/VGN-SR19XN/updates

Go to the section 'Preinstalled Drivers and Utilities' and download and install the following in order: -

1.  Sony Shared Library

2.  Setting Utility Series

3.  Vaio Event Service

Then install the Update for Setting Utility Series to be found in the Windows 7 section.

Sony advise that you reinstall all these utilities - your choice.
