DS6500 Digital Surround Wireless Headphones

Hi

I am looking to purchase wireless headphones and like the reviews for the above - my question is

I have both my vigin box and sony blu ray player connected direct to the sony soundbar HDMI slots and an HDMI cable from the arc out on the soundbar to the arc in on the sony TV as illustrated in the sony set up leaflet and everything works well changing between TV HDMI1 and HDMI3

how do you connect the above earphones to the system - if as I suspect its with the optical cable from headfones to soundbar - will this interfere with the other equipement?

the soundbar does have NFC and bluetooth _ though i have never used these.

I am looking for a set that I can use in the evenings when watching blu rays or music without upsetting my neighbours

hope someone can help

Thanks

Hi rikthered

Many thanks for replying to my post.

I note you have a similar set up to the one I use and have no problems, from reading your reply it seems the best way to connect headphones is to the optical slot on the tv to the base station.

Thanks for this info it does make things a good bit clearer

Thanks again

I have a blue-ray box with surround sound connected to Sony TV using HDMI/ARC and a Virgin Tivo box connected to the TV on another HDMI port. Via the various TV and Tivo settings I can listen with surround sound to TV movies or DVDs without changing any settings. With this setup, I can use these headphones by connecting the base station directly to the TV's optical out or to the Tivo optical out. They sound great btw.
