This is pleading post to anyone who can make a difference......
I've been using the amazing Sony MDR-ED21LP earphones as in-ear monitors for over 10 years and my last pair has just died.
I have tried countless other types/makes and nothing under about £300 comes close to the sound quality and the wearing comfort I am a musician and singer, and although some earbud types sound OK, they are awful for singing; because they are completely sealed it's like singing with your fingers in your ears.
If anyone knows of anywhere to get some of these earphones I would be eternally grateful.
Yours in desperation,
Andy

Hi there
As you are probably aware, those headphones have been discontinued (probably for sometime too).
The best I can come up with is an advert on Gumtree - posted 8 days ago:

Ulternatively, im afraid your going to have to find another pair that are similar. Sony's In-Ear range is:

Hi Andy, looks like Amazon.co.uk have some available in either chrome or red and at those prices it may be worth buying more than one pair.
Sony MDR-ED12LP in-ear headphones - Chrome
Sony MDR-ED12LP in-ear headphones - Red
Haha, good to know I'm not the only one. I'm a music producer and bought 25 pairs of them when I knew Sony was planning to discontinue, and my last pair have now died. Even though they're only £12 headphones, I'm considering going to a specialist to have them repaired because I can't find anything of similar sound quality at any price.
Sadly, companies need to make money from the masses who have no idea what sound quality is or means - all they want is high highs and low lows with no mid-range, so there probably wasn't much market for these awesome quality headphones other than for professionals.
I too am now on the hunt and have no idea what I'm going to do.
Glad I'm not the only one either!
To anyone that can can help to either re-introduce this product at Sony, or somethign similar via the likes of Kickstarter, I'd buy a batchload!
If anyone has found a similar product that is of similar sounds quality and, as importantly, not completely in the ear, then please let me know.
Thansk in advance.
Looks like someone is selling them brand new on eBay:

Doesn't look like they're going cheap though!
Please, please Sony, I am desperated! We need those earphones back. They are the only in-ear- headphones ever fitting into my ears without causing pain and the soundquality was just stunning. I'm using the last pair by now and I tried 25 (!!!!) other earphones. Nothing is similiar!
I really wish an answer from Sony and expect them back!!!!
Really appreciate your answer.
I cannot agree with this post more. These were the only earphones I would ever buy and since they were discontinued, I haven't found any, ever, that come close. Can anyone at Sony, please, please, please, please, please read this and bring the greatest earphones that have ever been, back to our grateful ears again?
I don't even know if Sony read or care about this, but we just want you to know...there are no earphones that come close to these and we need them back. Please.
Hi @rd150978 and welcome to the Community
Although Sony dont respond on the forum I'm sure a couple of staff
may browse it from time to time
It would be good to hear from more members that are fans of the MDR-ED21LP
I love these headphones too! I can't believe that they discontinued them. Mine broke so I brought some other Sony headphones and hated them. I found some MDR-ED12LP headphones which look terrible but had the same sound quality. I brought two! Now I am on my last pair of those and I can see the wires have become exposed. If I can't find another pair, I may as well give up on listening to music at work...which would make my life hell!
