Hi all. Just joined the forum as getting myself hooked on sony noise cancelling products. I've had my WF-1000X for close to two years now and love them. The latest version of the firmware updates it to the include the same features as it's bigger on ear brother the WM1000X3s, where you can use the left button to map to activate Google Assistant. I've downloaded the new firmware but when I remap the button I simply get told 'Google Assitant not activated'. Is anyone else having this issue. Looking at other parts of this forum it looks like people who were upgrading the firmware on their WM1000X2s had a similar issue and resolved it by deleting the device from the phone and then using the NFC and the Sony Headphones app to reconnect it. Permissions are then granted which should switch it on. I've not tried this yet, but wondering if anyone else has had the same issues? Thanks in advance.

Just following up from previous post, by telling my phone to forget the device through the bluetooth and then reconnect through the app has solved this. Didn't seem obvious to me and probably needs some kind of updated instructions when performing the update to do this in case it doesn't work. Hope this helps someone. Ps the assistant addition is very cool and worth it.
