WH-1000XM5 mic won't connect to laptop

I have followed instructions here:

However, when I connect my headset to my laptop, I can use them for Audio, but no mic option is shown.
This is on a Windows 10 Laptop.

have you tried to change the settings on the Windows Setting? change microphone from default to the headset connected
