4.4.4 Update performance differences?

I completed the update (finally after some trial and error).  As I only got the tablet yesterday, I don't know what differences it made.  I spent almost no time in 4.2.2 which seemed fine so I can't tell if 4.4.4 is a real improvement.

Opinions from those who have had this tablet longer?

I just got home and the upgrade was very easy.   I have not tested all the functions,  but screen flicker seems to be gone!

If you have  root on your 4.4.2, that's gone after upgrading to 4.4.4.

But the problem is that there is not yet a 1 click solution to get it back.

So a working sd reader is gone too again!

Towelroot doesn't work anymore.

So for now you have to choose between less faults or root. (and waiting to upgrade)

I hope they will come soon with a(simple) root for 4.4.4.

Thanks Google for this new problem!

Dude,

It's not about Google upgrade problems, all is about SONY. Sony make such bad upgrades and soooo late that is common to upgrade your device and get more bugs than you had before...

I had 4.4.2 on my tablet and the experience was awful... so I decided to come back to 4.1.2 through out falshtool... This version (4.1.2) has the best performance you can get among others.. I would like to have more opinions about 4.4.4 in order to re-think to upgrade tablet again...

What do you think of the new KK4.4.4 on Xperia Tablet Z??

Sorry for my english!!

Best firmware yet, for the Tablet Z. I've had no problems with it. No screen flicker, battery life has improved etc. And yes, I've had the tablet since it was released.

Having noticable video playback performance issues that were not there prior to this update. After a brief discussion on XDA forums, it was stated that this firmware is running slower than previously. This is probably why battery life is better, but for people like myself, who use this primarily as a video playback device, the one big negative outweighs any slight improvement.

I would rather have screen flicker and smooth videos, than the opposite that this update gave me. Will definitely be going back at least one version, if not more when I get chance.

Could you polease extend more your opinion about the last release?

Haven't you noticed any bug yet?

4.4.2 was a horrible release for this tablet... that's why I downgraded my device. So that, I want to make sure that if upgrade again to 4.4.4 it is for the best and not to get a buggy tablet again... I'm on 4.1.2 version because I think is still the best...

Where is the XDA thread¿ Just to read more about it.

thank you
