When i click the attach button on message the keyboard pops up, hence i can't select anything to attach on the message body.

Yes, I experience it also with other messaging apps. I saw a similar post(MESSAGING ATTACHMENT BUG ON LOLLIPOP) about this case but there is no clear solution to the problem.

When I press the attach button, the keypad hides it therefore I am not able to see the options.

Which messaging app version do you have? And android version

Try Clearing the messaging app data.

How to clear data on apps.
From your Home screen

1. Tap the Application screen icon.
2. Find and tap Settings > Apps.
3. Swipe to the All tab.
4. Find and tap on the messaging app.
5. Tap Force stop > Clear data.
6. Restart the phone

I had the same issue it's caused by a third party apps, for me omni swipe app was the problem i uninstalled it it fixes the issue

Tasfique thanks. Omni swipe was giving me the anger problem too. Except I did not uninstall. For me I opened
Omni Program > Advanced Settings > Enable Omni Swipe For > than there is an option there for exceptions. JUST ADD messaging and is fixed.

i have this issue for several months now. indeed, i have installed omni swipe 'coz i find it cool. lol will try the settings as mentioned on this thread first. if it will not work, will uninstall and see if it'll fix this issue. will keep you guys updated. cheers!

Having same issue, and i dont have omni swipe. Does not work to minemize window and go back either. Have to use Facebook for sending phots......

I have the same issue even downloaded Google keyboard after reading other thread but problem still persists.

Does anyone have an easy fix before I throw this phone away!

If you have cleanmaster installed, enter the app, go to tools and disable ISWIPE. Solved the same problem in my phone.
