Notifications in Asian, all other languages set to English

Hi, so recently I updated my phone to latest version of android (could be a coincidence)  and now I seem to be getting notifications in Chinese or some similar language.

Look at some other posts and done a malware scan via Malware Bytes, AntiVirus scan using AVG (Both of which came back clean) deleted some folders that were from old games etc. but they are still appear.

Usually the pop ups occure when I do something like change theme or get an email.

When the phone is booted it in safe mode they stop popping up.

Can anyone help?

it may be an app that is causing this, it wont be detected as malware or virus because when you installed that app you granted it permissions. try to see which app it is. start by remembering the latest installs and or upgrades

Thanks for the reply.

Tried it. Deleted two files and uninstalled the last app before the Android update.

Still no change accept one of the notifications appeared in English. read something like Tap Again for *Something*.

Did a factory reset on the device. Seems to have resolved the issue for now.

Hello,
I have a similar problem with my Sony Xperia Z5. I have my phone in italian, but some notifications (those of the lock screen) are in english. How is it possible? Thank u.
