Z5c randomly ringing...

Since an update a few days ago my phone is now randomly ringing (well playing the ring tone but there is no incoming call)

I've gone through every app I can think of looking for notifications/alarms, but nothing is appearing on the notification screen (the thing that swipes down from the top, I'm new to android)

Anyone else had this? Any suggestions?

If you lose network coverage you will get a notification sound

Try changing your ringtone to see if that affects the random rings.

If they stop, good job

If they still occur, but with the original ringtone, maybe it is some app that u have missed.

If the random rings sound with the new ringtone, you should try factory reset/reflash F/W

Thanks for the input. Changed ringtone and random ringing changed with it, will try a factory reset.

@Phy, is there a way to turn that notification off? I live in an area where coverage is a bit flakey - the ringtone will go for several minutes when it randomly goes off.
