Hi everyone. I just bought a brand new A6400. Fresh from the box, I turned it on. It’s blurry from the screen and so is the view through the viewfinder. Thought it’s just the settings but when I go to zoom ring rotate, it displays “the lens is not attached correctly or is not supported”. I have tried reattaching the lens several times but no luck. Please help!

please make a photo (with your phone/another camera) of your a6400 and with your lens attached.

have you checked both the contacts on the lens and the bayonett of the camera for being free of corrosion/damage?

It’s brand new. Literally just opened the box 2 hours ago. I haven’t even had a chance to set it up. I don’t see any visible damage anywhere and to be fair, I expect it to be in perfect condition.

I took both the lens and battery off, waited for it to fully charge and put it back together and now it works. Thank you for trying to help!
