All the common UK catchup tv apps appear to be missing for the tv and they cannot be installed from google play store.. spec clearly states YouView support and specifically iPlayer.. surely i cant be the only one that has noticed these are not there?!
Hi guys, I'm not a Sony rep, royabrown2 can tell you what am I.
And I know that the TVs are ready for the apps and it's just a matter of getting along with the app providers (we know who) which Sony confirmed is happening during 2021.
In the meanwhile, casting the apps works for me with no extra expenses.

I beg to differ... There's the expense of owning the device that you are casting from.
How do you get to be a Specialist, straight off the bat, if you are not hooked up with Sony?
I’ve been going at this for years and only(?) got to be a Leader. Whatever that means…..
Casting is for fishing rods. Or runes….
I've managed to sideload an iPlayer for Android TV apk onto my X94J and it appears to be working fine. Of course there's a potential security risk with doing this and I've no idea if the apk I used is untampered (got mine from APKMirror but there are no doubt other sources). Be sure to get the Android TV version. Btw, the ITV Hub for Android TV apk installed but didn't run, complaining of not being licensed. Ansd I couldn't find a suitable All4.
Hi @ ksaro1 so you don't own a phone?
@ CyberWoogy that's I agree with, never said it's a solution..
@ royabrown2 there can't be two of us here
Don't know if you all have 'Sony select' under apps but all the terrestrial apps appear under this green box also under Sony selecton the homepage.
Regards
No, they do not! Do you have a 2021 Sony TV?
I have an older XE model so, I'm not sure if the apk's below would work for you.
I disabled YouView and added these (as have many other Bravia owners) and they have all been working great.
