Bravia wireless network problem

I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40ex724 and I use wi-fi connection with it. It has a built-in wi-fi receiver. I have to reboot my router every time I want to use internet connection. If I do not reboot it won't connect or the connection is very slow. What should I do to fix the problem?

Hello,

I had the same issue with my new 49X8077. After the initial install everything was ok with the Wi-Fi but when I unpluged the TV and turn it back on the issue started. I tried everything mentioned arround the forums and the thing that worked for me was to change the date. In settings->Date & Time-> select Use network time. Hope that helps.

Exactly the same issue here, been living with it for a while, but seems to have gotten worse lately. To the point where TV tells me I'm connected but have no internet functionality.

Wireless router on opposite side of room, clear line of site, no obstructions. Router on/off/on, still no internet functionality.

Haven't tried wired connection as need to purchase 10m cable, feel this is a copout as TV bought with wireless functionality.

Really disappointed with Sony here. Sounds like it's not an isolated issue and common across models.

So I gave up at page 2. As a software engineer and network soespecialist. All these answers seem like absolute guesswork. Most if not all smart TV software quite frankly are flaky. Amazon firestick seems like the only viable solution. As long as all other devices in the house connect to WiFi without issues it's only fair to say the common denominator is Sony / other manufacturers software. Love that not one support staff even had the decency to respond after numerous pages of complaints. Rant over
