Crackling audio on high bass when using Clear Audio+
Problem:
When using the internal TV speakers, upon playback of high bass audio a crackling noise is heard when Clear Audio + is activated. This issue is only present when your input source is the TVs tuner. Issue not present when using HDMI source.
To replicate this issue:
- Set speakers to tv
- Set TV source to tuner (i.e. Freeview on DVB-T / T2)
- Activate ClearAudio +
- Ensure DSEE is active (Auto)
- Play this YouTube clip HERE (crackling starts at 0.20 on clip)

Satellite EPG: Lack of information
Problem:
The EPG for the satellite tuners does not contain much information. It only has information for 'Now' and 'Next' with the rest displaying 'No Event Information'
Discussion thread:
General information:
In the UK, the company behind the free to air satellite EPG is provided by Freesat. Sony's TVs are marketted as Freeview only. Some Sony TVs have satellite tuners (DVB-S and DVB-S2) and are advertised as such. This therefore leads to a confusion as customers expect a fully working EPG.
Previous years TVs, the satellite EPG was provided by Gracenote which obtained data via internet connectivity. In 2014, Sony sold Gracenote - see press release HERE.
Updates:
17-03-2016 - This has been reported back to Sony. Awaiting feedback.

[RESOLVED] Unresponsive Remote Control
Problem:
Remote control either stops responding to input commands upon pressing the buttons for about 30 secords or so or completely stops responding at all. The LED light on the TV usually flashes though. This problem can also be linked to the general sluggishness of the TV as well (HERE)
Temporary Solution:
Wait patiently for about 30-60 seconds. If it still doesnt work, power cycle the tv.

Custom Label for Inputs not quite working properly
Problem:
When choosing a custom name for an input, it apends the actual input name to the front as well. For example:
Original Label: HDMI 4/ARC
Renamed to: AV R
New Label: HDMI 4/ARC AV R
